Dexter Couple’s Honeymoon Totally In Hands Of Travel Agent

Sarah Frost and Devon Ellingsworth have 5 months until their honeymoon, so a lot of planning is underway.

But, if you ask either of them where they’re going, they’ll say this:

“I have no idea,” said Sarah.

They’re planning a mystery honeymoon, which actually involves no planning at all.

The two couldn’t agree on a place to go.

Sarah wanted an adventure at Seaworld and Devon wanted to relax in Key West, Florida.

So, they’re letting someone else decide.

“We won’t know what to pack, what to bring. She said she’ll let me know the week before what I will absolutely need, what kind of climate to pack for and we’ll go from there,” said Sarah.

Erin Cook of Sackets Harbor is the creator of Custom Memories Travel.

She has been working with Sarah and Devon since January.

“Mystery travel is something new that I’m finding isn’t offered a lot of places around here, and it’s when both of the people involved, or the whole family, whoever is booking the travel, will have no idea where they’re going until they actually open their itinerary that I send them about a week before they go,” said Erin.

Erin has been giving the couple a lot of in depth questionnaires to get to know them.

“I love the challenge of putting together a package that totally matches the couple but they have no idea where they’re going,” said Erin.

Eventually she’ll choose from 3 locations – Key West, Florida, San Diego, California and one mystery destination.

Mystery travel has been a popular way to vacation for a few years now, but it’s not offered anywhere in the north country – until now.

Erin says she’s excited to start the trend and thinks it’ll catch on quickly.

“I know that a lot of people around here are really adventurous; we have the skiing, we have things like that, we have our water sports, some people are looking to up the ante when it comes to the adventurous part of traveling,” said Erin.

For Sarah, so far the process has been great.

“It kinda takes a lot off your shoulder, than having to plan it yourself. I mean, maybe the mystery aspect won’t be for everybody, but not knowing until you get to the airport is kinda cool,” said Sarah.

And for Devon, the idea is still a little daunting.

“well, I’ve never flown on a plane before, so that’s the big one,” he said.

But both are excited for the big mystery plans.

Their honeymoon isn’t until July, so for now, they’ll just have to wait and see.
