Travel Tip: Spring Repositioning Cruises for 2015
Whether you’re a die-hard cruiser or you’ve never set foot on a ship before, you definitely want look at upcoming spring repositioning cruises for 2015.
Repositioning cruises are when the cruise lines physically move their ships for the season. There’s no point in sailing empty, so you can go on these one-way cruises. That means longer trips, more days at sea, and in many cases, unusual itineraries.
This April, Royal Caribbean is moving a ship from New Orleans to Boston, stopping in ports like Aruba, Bonaire and St. Maarten. And prices start at only $850 for 13 nights. Or how about Singapore to Dubai by way of Malaysia, Thailand and India? That starts at about $100 a night.
The Carnival Legend is sailing for 11 nights in May from Honolulu to its summer home in Vancouver, stopping on Oahu, Maui, and Kauai along the way. Not a bad way to go island hopping.
And if a spring cruise isn’t on your agenda, don’t worry. In fall, the ships go back the other way and offer the same deals. So stay tuned!
