Jennie Bond and John Craven to join Star Clippers on relaxed yacht-like …

Star Clippers’s tall ships are small enough to visit ports the larger cruise ships can’t get into offering passengers the activities, amenities and atmosphere of a private yacht.

Passengers of the speciality cruise line enjoy the romance of sailing on a tall ship in a relaxed, intimate atmosphere.

All three ships have teak decks, small pools for cooling off in and informal dining, plus an open air bar as well as a piano bar.

It is in this relaxed atmosphere that both Jennie Bond and John Craven will host a cocktail party and give informal talks about their work, as well as joining one of the shore excursions.

Journalist and former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond will join Royal Clipper on October 20 for a four-night mini-cruise from Rome, calling at ports in Sardinia, Corsica and Elba.

Meanwhile John Craven, presenter of BBC’s Countryfile and best-known for the groundbreaking children’s show John Craven’s Newsround, will sail on Star Clipper in the Caribbean on a voyage from Philipsburg, St Maarten.
