Hotel Resort
Caribbean hotels and resorts offer the best antidote ever invented for the end-of-summer blues: sunny skies, turquoise waters and temperate breezes. This fall, several Caribbean properties are offering seasonal travel packages that feature impressive values and guest-pleasing amenities. With the array of new packages travelers have multiple opportunities to get away and leave the blues behind.
For example, the Bahamas’ Grand Lucayan resort has launched a new wellness package designed to help guests transition from summer’s activities into a healthy fall routine. The “Feel Grand and Healthy” package combines savings of up to 45 percent off balcony ocean view rooms with lean-meal options, spa treatments, complimentary fitness classes and other activities.
Grand Lucayan fitness classes available as part of the packages include spinning, yoga/meditation, boot camp-style classes and water aerobics. The packages also feature a choice of complimentary tennis or golf.
Wellness package will receive a $50 food and beverage credit to use in any of the resort’s restaurants, which offer cuisine appropriate for every diet from gluten free to Paleolithic, and also feature “Healthy Lucayan” recommendations.
Guests booking the packages will also receive 20 percent off spa treatments at the Senses Spa, an oceanfront, full-service spa featuring eight treatment rooms, traditional wood saunas, a hydrotherapy tub and steam and facial rooms. Package rates start at $192 per room, double occupancy, for a minimum two-night stay and apply to travelers who book by Jan. 28, 2016 for stays through Jan. 31, 2016.
Special air arrangements in Nevis
Vacationers who book stays of five nights or longer at Nevis’ Nisbet Plantation Beach Club between Oct. 18 and Dec.18 will earn an immediate $100 discount off the resort’s daily rate for every night. The $100 daily savings can be applied toward airfare.
The packages also include a $200 per-room beverage credit, daily breakfast and dinner and complimentary airport transfers from Nevis or St. Kitts (up to a $280 value).
In addition, every traveler who books a “You Could Fly Free” package will be entered into a sweepstakes drawing in which the winner will have their entire airfare paid by the resort. With the $100 savings, daily rates begin at $315 per couple plus tax and service charge.
Extra travel incentives
Marriott International’s Caribbean resorts are offering extra incentives for travelers to escape falling fall temperatures. The “Time is Money” promotion offers up to 30 percent off published rates to visitors who book stays of two nights or more at participating properties by Oct. 31 for travel from now through March 22, 2016.
Participating properties include the Aruba Marriott Resort Stellaris Casino (offering 20 percent off regular rates), the Curacao Marriott Beach Resort Emerald Casino (25 percent), the Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort (20 percent), the St. Kitts Marriott Resort The Royal Beach Casino (30 percent), the Frenchman’s Reef Morning Star Marriott Beach Resort in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, (30 percent), the Renaissance St. Croix Carambola Beach Resort Spa (30 percent) the San Juan Marriott Resort Stellaris Casino (20 percent) and the Renaissance Santo Domingo Jaragua Hotel Casino (20 percent).
