Norwegian Cruise Line’s ship in China to be called Norwegian Joy

Joy will be the name of the ship that will join the Norwegian Cruise Line fleet
in 2017 and sail from Shanghai.
The
3,900-passenger ship will be the 15th in the Norwegian fleet and the first to
be designed for Chinese passengers.
The name will translate into Chinese
as 喜悦号 (Xi Yue
Hao). Both English and Chinese names appear on the hull in a rendering
released by Norwegian.
Norwegian has also
revealed a new Chinese name and logo exclusively for the mainland China market.
The company’s name will be represented by characters 诺唯真 (Nuo Wei Zhen),
translating as a ‘Promising, Exclusive and Authentic’ cruise line, Norwegian
said.
