Royal Caribbean International’s Ovation hits the seas in time for summer

The 4,180-passenger ship has been floated out from Meyer Werft Shipyard in Germany.

It is the third in RCI’s Quantum class series, known as the most innovative ships at sea, with onboard features including skydiving with RipCord by iFly plus bumper cars and circus training in the large indoor sports and leisure SeaPlex.

The ship will also have a North Star observation capsule, soaring 300ft above the sea, the popular robotic bartenders of the Bionic Bar and VOOM, the fastest internet service at sea.

Ovation of the Seas, which is bound for the Chinese market and a homeport at Tianjin, will start its maiden voyage from Southampton in May.
