The Mesmerizing Burj Al Arab Hotel

Brianna is the CFO of a European multinational company and had to visit Dubai to attend a meeting. Her accommodation was at the Burj Al Arab Hotel in Dubai. The following is her experience narrated in her own words.

My airport pickup was by the BMW 7 series which was incredible! I was given a rose by the hotel representative and he offered me cold towels as I sat in the car. The ride was pretty smooth and the hotel representative answered all my questions politely, he was very friendly and hospitable.

On arrival at the hotel, I was warmly greeted by a steward who offered me dates and Kava and that was the moment I actually felt “Dubai“. The steward led me inside the hotel and I was charmed by the striking exteriors, I also happened to notice the gold that was on all the walls, I could see shimmer everywhere I looked.

The suite was magical with its mega sized bathrooms, office desks with all kinds of facilities, iMacs and iPads with direct connection to the service concierge, lavish couches, cozy pillows and quilts, drapes and carpets. Butler service was available 24/7; they bring you anything you desire as quickly as possible. This is the kind of luxury kings and queens are used to. The room is decorated with murals giving it the right amount of ethnicity.

The following morning I had mouth watering breakfast at the Bab Al Yam, the breakfast was grand and exclusive. I heartily enjoyed every bit of it, be it the fruit or bread, the pancakes or the pastry. I personally thanked the head chef Mohit Bhargava for he had done an amazing job.

As I was leaving the hotel in the evening i saw how the sail structure had rainbow coloured lighting making it look all the more lovely. After my return I spent around 15 to 20 minutes just admiring the dancing water works also known as ‘The Volcano‘.

The following day I took a submarine voyage to the Al Mahara restaurant which serves divine seafood. At 3 PM, I met up with a few friends and colleagues at the Sahn Eddar Atrium Lounge for some afternoon tea and it turned out the best place to relax and hang out for a bit.

The Assawan Spa and Health Club located on the 18th level was a great way to unwind from all the business meetings I had gone through. They have these tranquilizing hydrotherapy massages to ease you off. I couldn’t resist taking a dip in the indoor pool, which did a good job of reviving me.

And how could I forget mentioning the Skyview bar with its intriguing view overlooking the sea and the city. I had a reservation there for window tables and I was dining with a colleague. We started off with this delicious sparkling date drink presented along with stuffed dates. We moved on to the tarts, sorbet, scones and finger sandwiches. It was a 7 course meal with each course presented separately.

The combination of luxurious décor and incredible service made the entire stay, at the Burj Al Arab Hotel an extraordinary and unforgettable one. Truly a Dubai 7 Star Hotel par excellence…
