How to travel to Jaipur

Jaipur is one of the most frequently travelled to places in India. This is primarily because of the fact that this is one of the major tourist destinations of this country. In fact, the state of Rajasthan has many places of historical importance like Jaisalmer, Chittor, Bikaner, etc. which draw in a lot of tourist attention. Jaipur itself is also a city of great tourist interest. So if you are planning a trip through the state of Rajasthan, then like many others, the best option would be to reach Jaipur and then travel to various places either by car or train within the state.

If you wish to make a base in Jaipur, then first and foremost you need to look for hotels near Jaipur or in the city and make a booking as soon as possible, especially if you are heading there during the peak tourist season.

Here are a few ways by which you can travel to the largest and the capital city of Rajasthan, Jaipur:

Save some time, travel by air

If you do not have much time in hand for the trip or do not wish to spend too much time travelling to Jaipur, then the best option would be to catch a direct flight to this city. It is connected to almost all the important metropolitans within the country. Sanganer is the place where the airport is located and it has both international as well as domestic airports. So if you are flying from outside of India, you can also catch a direct flight to Jaipur. The airport is about half an hour distance from the city, so it is best to arrange for a pick up and drop from the resort near Jaipur where you will be staying.

Travel by Bus

If you are travelling to Jaipur from a nearby place, say Delhi, then the most pocket-friendly option would be to take a bus. Both AC as well as non-AC buses travel to Jaipur and depending upon your preferences you can take your pick.

Take the train

The other most reliable option is to travel by train. You have a number of express trains that travel to this city from the major cities of the country. It generally takes quite some time, depending on the distance, but if you do have enough time for the trip and want to enjoy the changing view then this would be your best bet!

If none of these feel good to you, then you can always opt for a drive to Jaipur. Take your decisions depending on the distance and the time you can afford to give for travelling to Jaipur.
