Joni Rein joins Scenic Cruises

Scenic Luxury Cruises Tours has named cruise industry veteran Joni Rein as vice president of U.S. sales
and marketing.

Also, the company has hired river cruise
veteran Christine Sustreanu to be managing director of global river
cruise operations for Scenic and its sister line, Emerald Waterways. 

Rein most recently served as vice president of worldwide
sales for Carnival Cruise Line. She has held other executive positions in
sales, marketing and business development at Costa Cruises, Renaissance Cruises
and Certified Tours. 

Rein will work with salespeople and travel agents
to grow Scenic’s U.S. source market. She will be based out of the company’s Boston office.

Sustreanu will oversee all aspects of Scenic’s guest services,
from how guests are met at airports to their onboard experiences. She will be
based in the company’s office in Zug, Switzerland.

She had previously held positions at Grand Circle
Cruise Line and served as the managing director of Uniworld Boutique River
Cruise Collection in 2004.

Australian company Scenic Luxury Cruises Tours is the
parent of river cruise lines Scenic and Emerald Waterways, which have a
combined fleet of 23 ships that operate in Europe, Russia and Southeast Asia.
