Cruise Planners adds agent-client chat to website: Travel Weekly

Cruise Planners has launched a redesigned website that
includes a chat feature to connect travelers with their agents.

At CruisePlanners.com, site visitors have three main options
— find an adviser, plan a vacation or become an adviser. If they choose the “plan
my vacation” option, they will be prompted to answer questions about what
they want. That information will then generate a list of agents to contact,
effectively generating a lead for those agents.

According to Cruise Planners, the agents that appear are
based on several factors, including their location in relation to the customer
as well as their sales volume.

When they navigate to an individual agents’ page, visitors
now have the opportunity to chat with that agent directly.

All agents will have the chance to complete a customized
profile page on the website. According to Cruise Planners, the profile pages
will help increase an agent’s local search visibility thanks to geo-targeting
technology.

“The main benefit of the new site is the convenience of
immediately connecting travelers with the right travel adviser,” Cruise
Planners CEO and co-owner Michelle Fee said in a statement. “Consumers
want an on-demand way of making a human connection, which results in superior
service — this helps bridge the high-tech world with the human touch that can
only come from a personal travel adviser.”
