Travel Leaders Group makes play in cruise sector: Travel Weekly

Travel Leaders Group is making an investment in New
Hampshire-based CruCon Cruise Outlet, one of the largest agencies in the Travel
Leaders Network.

CruCon’s annual cruise sales total $125 million, enabling
Travel Leaders to have “exponential growth” in its cruise sales
volume as a result of the investment.

Travel Leaders said the investment will be made in early
2017, but it declined to release any details, such as the amount it is investing in CruCon.

CruCon’s founder, Sandra Cleary, will continue to lead the
company, and she will head a Travel Leaders effort to invest in more cruise-selling
agencies. By way of CruCon, Travel Leaders said it “will seek to
consolidate up to $1 billion in annual cruise sales volume over the next
several years.”

John Lovell, president of Travel Leaders Network and Leisure
Group, said, “This will significantly increase our sphere of influence
with our supplier partners and allow us to capture additional economies of
scale.”

Cleary said that she expects Travel Leaders’ resources will
help CruCon grow. And, she sees potential in adding the Travel Leaders air,
hotel and land products to her company’s portfolio.
