Travel: Belmar Cruise Night Coming to Downtown for Last Time This Summer
BELMAR, NJ — Belmar’s downtown district will get into high gear one more time this summer when Cruise Night returns on Wednesday, August 16.
A two-block stretch of Main Street, from Eighth to 10th Avenues, will be transformed into a colorful display of hundreds of vintage and classic cars from 6 to 9 p.m.
And if the success of the season’s first Cruise Night on July 19 is any indication of what can be expected this time, the showcase will spill over into Pyanoe Plaza with even more eye-candy for car lovers. As a result, participants are being encouraged to arrive on time to register and get their vehicles or motorcycles in formation.

For participants, check-in and registration will be held in Belmar Plaza between Eighth and 10th Avenues, in the parking lot behind Pyanoe Plaza. Move-in is from 5 to 6 p.m. Dash plaques will be given to all cars.
Presented by the Belmar Business Partnership, Cruise Night is one of the area’s most-popular events of its kind. For car enthusiasts, it’s an opportunity to talk shop with fellow car owners, as well as to share their knowledge with those just curious about cars from yesteryear. For others, it’s an enjoyable night out to visit downtown merchants and grab a bite to eat along the way.
Rain date is Thursday, August 17. Registration and admission is free.
