Cruise worker reveals SECRET way staff get around the ship – did YOU know about it?
The number 13 has been unlucky for many over the years, but the origin of why is often confused.
Some believe it is due to 13 witches in a coven, or the 13th tarot card representing death, or even Judas who was meant to be the 13th guest.
Andy Harmer, SVP Membership Director, CLIA (Cruise Lines International Association) UK Ireland, revealed all: “As superstition goes, in some cultures the number 13 is considered ‘unlucky for some’.
“Like hotels around the world that don’t have a floor 13 or room 13, the cruise sector is very much the same with many of the cruise lines skipping out deck 13.”
