Everything You Want to Know About the ‘Property Brothers’ Cruise to …

If going to the Bahamas with Drew and Jonathan Scott is on your bucket list, now’s your chance to make that dream a reality.

The duo behind “Property Brothers” announced this week that they will be hosting a cruising adventure, “Sailing With The Scotts,” aboard Royal Caribbean International’s Mariner of the Seas this December. The ship is moving to Miami after completing a $90-million renovation in June. According to Jonathan, the renovated ship will be“the perfect place to host a spectacular cruising adventure for our fans.”

The cruise ship’s upgrades include a virtual-reality bungee trampoline, surf simulator, and three-story-high waterslides for adrenaline junkees; an Italian restaurant by Jamie Oliver, made-to-order sushi, and a tiki bar for foodies and drink enthusiasts; and glow-in-the-dark laser tag, a sports bar and arcade, and an Escape Room for gamers.

Of course, “Property Brothers” fans will probably be most thrilled by the chance to vacation alongside HGTV’s beloved twins.

According to their official website, the “Sailing With The Scotts” experience promises a “boatload” of events and activities hosted by the Scott brothers, including game show nights, themed parties, a “revealing” QA session, holiday photo booths, karaoke contests, and even dance lessons.

“We cannot wait to set sail with our fans. Jonathan and I have so much exciting stuff planned,” Drew said.

Travel + Leisure got the inside scoop from the two men behind this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

T+L: You hosted a Sailing With The Scotts cruising adventure in 2015. How does this year’s cruise compare?

Jonathan: “We always like to go bigger and better with everything we do. The Mariner of the Seas is larger, newly renovated, the food is amazing, and the lineup of activities will make this the cruise to remember for our fans.”

What kinds of panel discussions and workshops will you be giving?

Drew: “We’ll have workshops and panels discussing top design trends, how to stretch a dollar when renovating to give your house a Dream Home makeover, DIY fails, and more. We also love to give our fans an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at our shows – we have hilarious videos never seen before. We’ll also do a fully themed Christmas holiday photo shoot exclusively for our fans – lots of our fans used the Christmas photos from the last cruise for their personal holiday cards.”

What are some of the shore excursions you’ll be hosting? Which one are you most looking forward to?

Drew: “We want to give our fans a mix of adventures and relaxation. I’m most excited about inviting fans to the beach party at CocoCay, there are so many fun things to do there, both in and out of the water!”

What’s the one activity you can’t wait to try on the Mariner of the Seas?

Drew: “We are big into water sports, so fans should definitely look for us in the pool for a fun game of water volleyball. Also, we plan to challenge fans to races down The Perfect Storm™ high speed waterslides.”

How is the way you like to spend your time on cruises different from one another?

Jonathan: “We’ve done over 15 cruises in the past. I’m big on the excursions and getting a little taste of each port. Drew is a bit more of the sports junkie so whether it’s rock climbing, basketball, mini golf or table tennis — Drew will be there. We both like just hanging out and spending time with the fans on the boat, they join us from all over the world and have lots of great stories to share.”

What’s the one thing you always pack for a cruise?

Drew: “I always pack a GoPro with waterproof case. Whether snorkeling, cruising or exploring ports, I want all the footage I can get.”

Jonathan: “I always pack a little something special for our poolside movie night, you’ll have to join us to see what we have planned this year.”

Which of you is the overpacker?

Jonathan: “There’s no denying it, Drew is the over packer. Does he really need to bring seven pairs of shoes and 15 changes for a five day cruise? LOL.”

Drew: “Never question the fashion choices of another man!”
