VBT, Emerald Waterways partner on biking cruise

VBT Bicycling and Walking Vacations has partnered with river
cruise line Emerald Waterways to create a cycling-centric river cruise
itinerary for 2019.

The itinerary is an 11-day Danube river cruise from
Nuremberg, Germany, to Budapest, Hungary. There will be eight departures
between May and October in 2019, and for each the VBT group will be limited to
24 guests.

For VBT guests, there will be daily cycling adventures
and exclusive VBT activities as well as the ship’s regular excursions. The
daily rides will primarily be on paved or gravel bike paths in both urban and
rural areas with some mild climbing. 

The itinerary includes sailing through Austria’s Wachau
Valley and Germany’s Bavaria region, and a visit to Vienna. In Vienna, guests
will be given the opportunity to cycle Danube Island, a 13-mile-long strip with
scenic vistas. 

Prices per person for the VBT river cruises start at $4,995,
including international airfare.

VBT trips include all accommodations, many meals, two local
trip leaders, sightseeing and cultural activities, and full vehicle support.
VBT includes roundtrip international airfare from some 30 U.S. cities and
select Canadian cities for all overseas vacations.
