AmaWaterways again delays start of its river cruises
AmaWaterways has again pushed back plans to resume sailing.
Citing continued international travel restrictions on Americans and Canadians, which make up 95% of its passenger base, AmaWaterways president and co-founder Rudi Schreiner said the company has extended its suspension of its regular program of cruises in Europe, Africa and Asia through Nov. 15.
“We continue to monitor government and health authorities, including European Union restrictions, which are updated every two weeks,” Schreiner said.
“Our ships and crew remain on standby to welcome travelers on our regularly scheduled sailings once these restrictions are lifted.
The company will continue to operate its charters on the Rhine of the AmaKristina with German tour operator E-Hoi, Schreiner said.
