Seabourn reveals ‘tremendous’ booking levels for 2022 world cruise
Seabourn has stated that its 2022 world cruise is generating a “tremendous amount of positive interest and bookings”.
The line revealed that the 145-day voyage is “more than 50 per cent sold on itineraries up to the halfway point in Shanghai”.
In addition, there is only limited space remaining for guests who want to depart Los Angeles on day one of the voyage for the full sailing or a shorter itinerary.
Seabourn Sojourn will depart Los Angeles on 11 January 2022, and travel westbound, visiting Hawaii, the islands of the South Pacific, New Zealand, Australia, and a number of destinations in Asia, Arabia and Africa, before ending in Athens on 6 June 2022.
The cruise will call at 72 ports in 28 countries in total, including 20 overnight stays in 21 ports.
Seabourn vice-president of global sales Steve Smotrys said: “We are really encouraged by the tremendous amount of positive interest and bookings for our 2022 world cruise, which clearly demonstrates that now is the time to consider a booking rather than later on when suite availability may be limited or even sold out.
“The past few months has given travellers time to consider when they are ready to explore the world again and know that when they travel with Seabourn, they’ll visit some of the world’s most fascinating destinations, while experiencing the personalised, intuitive service we are known for.”
Seabourn president Josh Leibowitz added: “Given the uncertainty in the world, our Seabourn guests and travel advisors are showing a desire to book a vacation further into next year and to make that trip something very, very special. The world cruise in 2022 is a signature event and the demand for this cruise has demonstrated that interest.”
Guests who book either the full world cruise or shorter itineraries and pay in full by 31 May 2021 will receive an additional three per cent saving off the cruise-only fare.
