More Caribbean hotels are reopening

With the approach of the holidays, more resorts, hotels, villas and inns are throwing open their doors for the guests celebrating the season.

The reopenings on tap include:

Couples Sans Souci in Ocho Rios and Couples Negril will reopen on Dec. 1, joining sister resorts Couples Tower Isle in Ocho Rios and Couples Swept Away in Negril, which reopened earlier.

All four all-inclusive, adults-only properties follow a multifaceted program called Good Clean Fun that includes social distancing policies, increased cleaning initiatives and food hygiene protocols. A 6th Night Free promotion offers starting rates of $349 per night for bookings made now through Dec. 24.

The Meridian Club, Pine Cay in the Turks and Caicos reopened Nov. 1 with several new features, including a new beach bar, upgraded marina, low-light pollution lighting and a refurbished beach area.

Le Sereno St. Barth will welcome guests on Dec. 17 with new offerings and safety protocols, including a picnic experience on a remote beach with service by a private butler and a micro-wedding package for family and friends with a sunset cocktail hour, four-course dinner, two-tiered wedding cake and a wedding night stay in Villa du Pecheur, its one-bedroom, beachside villa that it calls the “epitome of luxury, privacy and St. Barth chic.” Starting rates begin at $898 per night.

The new, all-inclusive Serenade Punta Cana Beach, Spa Casino Resort is targeting a Dec. 10 opening. The 603-room property offers 12 room categories, with the largest options accommodating six guests; seven dining venues; eight bars; four pools; kids and teen clubs; a spa; casino; disco; and theater.
