Enjoy Amazing Views on a Holiday Cruise of NYC – Untapped New York
There are many ways to enjoy the magic of New York City during the holiday season. Along with the classic traditions of seeing the decorated storefront windows of Fifth Avenue and visiting the Rockefeller Tree, you can add a holiday cruise to the list. Untapped New York is excited to partner with Classic Harbor Line to offer a variety of winter holiday-themed sails around New York City this winter. These limited-time cruises will show you a side of New York City you can’t see any other way, besides on the water!
There are multiple adventures to choose from when you set off for a holiday sail. You can spend a sunny afternoon admiring the skyline and Statue of Liberty, or you can cozy up to a warm cup of hot cocoa as you watch the sunset. Surrounded by lush holiday decorations on board and the twinkling city lights outside, you can nibble on a gourmet holiday cookie and learn about Lower Manhattan’s landmark skyscrapers. For an extra special occasion, go all out and celebrate with an on-board champagne tasting, or ring in the new year by raising a glass of bubbly on the Hudson.
Untapped New York recently had the privilege of sailing on one of the first holiday cruises of the season. Setting off from Pier 62, at Chelsea Piers, we were treated to stunning panoramas of Manhattan as we sailed the Hudson and East Rivers and Upper New York Bay. We saw landmarks from the Brooklyn Bridge to the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, and the skyscrapers of Lower Manhattan like One World Trade.
Classic Harbor Line’s holiday cruises are conducted on modern vessels inspired by historic yachts. Built by the craftsmen at Scarano Boat Building of Albany, New York, the ships pair twenty-first-century amenities with classic style. For these special holiday tours, guests travel aboard the cozy and luxurious mahogany-trimmed Yacht Manhattan and Manhattan II. These boats were inspired by the glamour of the 1920s. For your safety on board, assigned tables inside the main salon are separated by plexiglass, there are multiple hand sanitizing stations, capacity has been limited, and everyone is required to wear a mask at all times, except when eating or drinking. Onboard, each guest is offered a complimentary beverage and every table is provided a light snack. Hot cocoa and fresh coffee are available to keep you warm!
Classic Harbor Line offers a variety of different tours throughout the year, from narrated architecture cruises with the Amerian Institute of Architects of New York to jazz brunches. You can see the year-round selection of tours here! Holiday cruises are happening now and will continue to sail through the month of December. Cruises set sail every day of the week.
