How To Have A Honeymoon At Home

If you got married last year and angled to have your honeymoon in 2020, unfortunately your plans may have been thwarted by COVID-19 and it’s unclear when you get to travel again. Right now, with stay-at-home measures in place, you won’t get to go on that island, city or adventure trip but you can still do something fun virtually or in-residence to at least celebrate. You can explore, have a spa day, enjoy delicious eats and most of all, enjoy quality time. Best of all you don’t have to worry about travel delays, jetlag, getting sick on the road or getting sick of each other (hopefully). Here’s how to have a “honeymoon” at home.

1. Explore Destinations Virtually

While you’re at home, you have the opportunity to shop around for a honeymoon destination or simply enjoy some beautiful sites from your computer. Palladium Hotel Group offers tours of their properties in places like Spain, Dominican Republic and Mexico through their Palladium TV channel. I visited their Ibiza property Bless Hotel Ibiza last year and it was the perfect trip for a couple who likes to lounge by the each, eat incredible food and head out for a night on the town. If you’re more adventurous, a destination you will love is Costa Rica, famous for lush rainforest, great surfing and numerous activities to enjoy. Visit Costa Rica’s YouTube channel does a great job of showing you the country and all of the adventures you can get into there.

2. Loungewear

You might not have spent a lot of time or money on loungewear previously, but for your home “honeymoon” you should splurge on something comfy yet chic. Lunya makes super soft but still stylish pajamas, robes and nightgowns in washable silk that feel luxurious. For men, Naadam’s cotton cashmere sweatpants are soft but a big step up from your usual sleep attire.

3. Spa time

If your idea of a good time is a filled with massages, baths, and scrubs then I have some ideas for how to enjoy some treatments at home. If your massage skills are so-so, here are some tips to up your game fromCanyon Ranch. Interested making your skin silky soft? 4. Gifts
