Two travel pros tapped for new roles in the Caribbean

John Hazard will assume the post of general manager of the Ritz-Carlton, Turks Caicos when the 155-room luxury resort debuts on Grace Bay beach this summer.

Hazard has more than 19 years of hotel management experience across the U.K., Middle East and the Caribbean. In his most recent role as general manager of the Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort, he helped develop restaurant concepts and launched a spa and retail operation.

In Anguilla, Stacey Liburd has been named director of tourism.

Prior to her appointment, Liburd served as a member of the Anguilla Tourist Board and previously was the sales and marketing manager for Anguilla properties such as Quintessence Hotel, Santosha Estate, Long Bay Villas, Zemi Beach House and the Tranquility Beach Resort.
