City Breaks In Inverness, Scotland and Some Important Facts To Know
Inverness, widely referred to as the capital city of the Highlands, was ceremoniously granted city status in the year 2001 and at this moment in time is the the only city to be found in the region. Uniquely (in the United Kingdom) Inverness has no statutory boundaries which can cause problems with population estimation. The estimations are less likely to be accurate because the population of the city is increasing at a dramatic rate, Inverness has the UK’s highest growth rate. One fact we know for certain is that the population of the city is fairly happy, in 2008 the city came 5th in a survey taken, by the Telegraph, of 189 British cities for quality of life. Therefore we can state that Inverness is a pretty cool place in which to stay and this is most likely one of the facts which make the city amazingly popular with tourists. Crucially there is a great deal of Inverness bed & breakfast accommodations with the majority of it being able to be booked online.
Inverness is also called the gateway to the Highlands of Scotland for the clear fact that it is the best place to make the most of the Highland public transport system and a large amount of visitor attractions are nearby.
