MSC Cruises cancels Egypt calls

MSC Cruises has canceled its 2013-14 winter itineraries in the Red Sea because of political unrest in Egypt.

MSC has substituted two seven-day itineraries for the MSC Armonia, both departing from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

One cruise calls in Funchal, Madeira; San Sebastian, Spain; and the Canary Islands ports of Santa Cruz de La Palma and Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The other calls in Casablanca and Agadir, Morocco; and the Canary Islands ports of Arrecife de Lanzarote and Puerto del Rosario.

Earlier this month, Holland America Line said it was replacing Egypt calls on several sailings this summer and fall.
