Hurtigruten appoints Cruise Club as India partner

Hurtigruten ASA has appointed Cruise Club as its India partner for the purpose of marketing and sales of its cruise experiences. Among the world’s leading cruise companies, Hurtigruten operates along the coast of Norway, apart from offering Arctic and Antarctica expedition cruises, a release stated. The company also offers spring and fall voyages through Western Europe, the Baltic, British Isles and North Africa.

Commenting on the tie-up, Tarique Hussain, Co-Founder, Cruise Club, said, “Hurtigruten has more than 120 years of experience in coastal voyages, and the Hurtigruten ships are a part of Norwegian coastal life. One of the fleet’s 11 ships departs Bergen daily, sailing to Kirkenes and back in 12 days.”

Hussain added, “As the Indian traveller continues to evolve, he is looking for more interesting and unique experiences. The Northern lights, Arctic and Antarctica are on the bucket list of this evolving clientele. Through our partnership with Hurtigruten, we will like to make these unique experiences more accessible to Indian clients.”

Hurtigruten has navigated the west coast of Norway for 120 years, providing its guests 1,250 miles of fjord-filled landscapes with the opportunity to experience dog sledding, snowmobiling and the Northern Lights in winter, or to discover Geirangerfjord, the Midnight Sun and the Sea Eagle Safari in summer.

Elaborating on Cruise Club’s engagement with the travel trade, Hussain said, “As a multi-brand cruise specialist, Cruise Club’s role is to guide the travel trade to help them bring these experiences to their clients. For Hurtigruten, we are embarking on a series of initiatives including training travel agents to have cruise experts in-house, who can readily assist clients to plan memorable cruise vacations.”
