A common tourist visa covering visits to Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and Burundi is being delayed while officials finalize requirements. The visa, which would allow entry into all five countries, was proposed earlier this year by by the East African Community (EAC). Though some East African nations provide entry visas free of charge upon arrival at customs, the common visa would cut visa costs and time dealing with paperwork for tourists. Instead of launching in early 2014 as planned, the officials hope to have it ready by late 2014.
