ATLANTA (April 30, 2013) – Delta Vacations announced today that it is adding a new destination to its portfolio and will offer travelers three new world-class resorts in the region of Samana, Dominican Republic.
“We’re excited to add Samana to our Dominican Republic portfolio,” said Karen Kammer, Director, Product Development Caribbean for MLT Vacations. “The Bahia Principe resorts there are stunning, and Samana has so much to offer travelers of all ages.”
Owned and operated by Bahia Principe, the resorts are the Grand Bahia Principe Cayo Levantado Don Pablo Collection; Grand Bahia Principe Cayacoa; and the Grand Bahia Principe El Portillo.
Travelers to Samana can enjoy activities including watersports, fishing, hiking and sightseeing. “Samana is home to a Humpback whale sanctuary and whale-watching is very popular during the winter months. It’s just the type of travel experience that creates lifelong memories,” said Kammer.
Samana is located approximately 112 miles from the capitol city of Santo Domingo. The travel time is about two hours. The three resorts are located on the Samana Peninsula. The Grand Bahia Principe Cayo Levantado Don Pablo Collection and the Grand Bahia Principe Cayacoa are adults-only resorts.
