Honeymoon trip prize for brides

WINTERSVILLE – One lucky area bride-to-be has the chance to win a dream honeymoon during the fourth-annual Sparkling Moments Bridal Show.

The event is scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m. and last until 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Florian Hall. The grand prize trip, courtesy of Todd Piergallini of Piergallini Catering, and Leigh Ann Arnholt of Carson Travel, will include a stay in Cocoa Beach, Fla., as well as a four-night Royal Caribbean cruise to the Bahamas.

According to Arnholt, the winner will receive a cruise platinum certificate good for year-round travel.

“The certificate is good for a three- or four-night cruise to the Bahamas on the Enchantment Ship,” she explained. “The certificate covers the cruise fares, taxes and standard amenities for two. The couple also has a choice to upgrade to an ocean-view room as well if they so choose.”

The ship has 11 decks, eight pools and whirlpools, eight bars and lounges, a bungee trampoline, rock climbing wall, interactive splash deck, adults-only solarium pool, fitness center, spa, a Vegas-style casino royale and duty-free shopping. Broadway-style shows are also available as well as an outdoor, poolside movie screen.

“This is one of the medium-size cruise ships and is absolutely beautiful,” Arnholt noted. “The certificate the couple will receive has no expiration date. They will call the number on their certificate to book the cruise whenever they choose.”

Piergallini’s three-bedroom abode in Cocoa Beach, Fla., is located in a serene residential area between the Banana River and the Atlantic Ocean.

“It is only a short walk to the Old Town of Cocoa Beach where there are bars and nightclubs,” he explained. “But it is also a quiet area. There are a number of sights within a short drive including Kennedy Space Center, Disney World, Alligator Park, Busch Gardens and the Cocoa Beach Country Club. There is also a Manatee Park where you can possibly spot wild manatees in the Banana River.”

The home is only a 15-minute drive to Port Canaveral, where the Enchantment Ship is docked.

“Port Canaveral has a lot of restaurants and night clubs as well as an old pier with a Tiki Bar at the end,” Piergallini noted. “The couple will also have the chance to book fishing charters or go deep sea fishing if they would like.”

Admission for the event is free for brides-to-be and $10 for other guests, and includes a champagne luncheon. Reservations are strongly recommended and may be made online at www.heraldstaronline.com.
