The itinerary: a Greek-style honeymoon on Santorini
Romance? It’s Greek to them
The island of Santorini was voted the world’s No. 1 honeymoon destination in a recent US News World Report survey. If you are considering a romantic trip to the Aegean Sea, consider staying at the Iconic Santorini, a boutique cave hotel on the rim of the island’s volcanic caldera. The hotel’s 22 rooms are styled like high-ceilinged caverns notched into the cliffs. In the rooms, traditional details contrast with with luxury amenities like flat-screens, JBL sound systems and all-natural bedding. Outside the luxury suites, there are private veranda pools. Rates start at 475 euros (approximately $650) a night for two, including breakfast, poolside snacks, Internet access and all hotel taxes.
