Australis cruise to spotlight tall ship regatta
Australis, a specialist in South America expedition cruises, said navies from Latin America will participate in a tall ship regatta that can be viewed by passengers.
The regatta, organized by the Argentine navy, marks the bicentennial anniversary of a naval combat victory between the United Provinces of South America and the Spanish Empire.
Australis guests in Ushuaia from March 14-17, at Cape Horn from March 17-18 and in Punta Arenas from March 21-24 will be able to view the ships and witness the surrounding festivities.
The regatta in Punta Arenas will include three days of ceremonies, visiting sailboats and a variety of presentations.
