Coral Springs-based travel agency Cruise Planners has launched mobile versions of 900 websites in its network of franchised travel agents.

The company, a representative agency of American Express, said 27 percent of its website traffic is from mobile devices, and that percentage is growing.

The company cited data from the World Travel Market Global Trends Report showing how travelers have moved rapidly into using mobile technology to interact with travel planners and agencies.

Cruise Planners said its in-house technology team developed the coding for the mobile sites, which include cruise search, port information, land vacation details, travel deals, highlights of packaged vacations and American Express benefits.

Cruise Planners also has an app called Cruise Planners Mobile that travel planners may use.

The technology was designed to automatically detect what type of device each consumer is using, therefore presenting the content in the proper presentation, no matter the device.

Cruise Planners started in 1994 and became an American Express Travel Services representative agency in 2004.
