The 2014 Celebrity Travelers of the Year are…

George kicked off the year with an international promotional tour for his movie The Monuments Men with premieres in Los Angeles, New York, Berlin, London, Milan, and Paris.

After a few months traveling between his home base in Los Angeles and hers in London, the couple settled into George’s Lake Como estate in July. George and Amal spent most of the summer relaxing and hosting family at the home. George even found a way to combine work with pleasure when he shot a Nespresso commercial in Como in late August.

After making their first official appearance as a couple in Florence, the couple was off to the lux Aman Canal Grande Hotel in Venice for their big day. The Clooneys and their guests were the picture of elegance as they spent the weekend traveling around Venice by water taxi.

After a quick honeymoon in the English countryside, George made stops in New York City and Vancouver, while Amal traveled to Athens, Greece to meet with Greek Culture Minister Kostas Tassoulas and tour the Parthenon Hall inside the Acropolis Museum.

In mid-October, the couple was back in the UK where Amal’s parents hosted a dinner party at the Danefield House Hotel and Spa in Buckinghamshire. Around the same time, George paid a visit to Highclere Castle to film a cameo in Downton Abbey.

Finally, the couple’s closing out the year in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico where George often vacations with his good friends Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber.

We can’t wait to see where the newlyweds turn up in 2015.
