Euro low-cost airline Norwegian Air will expand its North American presence this winter with flights from JFK airport to the Francophone islands of Guadeloupe and Martinique. Launching in December, the seasonal service will see three weekly Norwegian flights to each island — with prices beginning at a nifty $79/each way.

Los Angeles’ ever-expanding boutique hotel scene has received a major dose of Gallic cool with the recent arrival of the Mama Shelter hotel. Set in six-story building rising over the Sunset Strip, the property features 70 guest rooms, a roof-top gym, al fresco cinema and handful of destination dining spots (from $149).

United Airlines is partnering with posh private club kings SoHo House to launch new in-flight amenity kits in their Global First and and Business First cabins. Debuting Aug. 1, the kits feature SoHo House’s indulgent Cowshed Skin Care products made famous in SoHo Houses worldwide. The kits include sky-high essentials such as hand cream and lip balms.
