Regent to resume world cruise in 2017
After a six year hiatus, Regent Seven Seas Cruises will offer a world cruise in 2017, enabled by the arrival of a new ship, Seven Seas Explorer, in 2016.
The 128-day world cruise departs Miami on Jan. 5, 2017. The 490-passenger Seven Seas Navigator is scheduled to do a complete circumnavigation in which it will visit six continents, 31 countries, and more than 60 ports of call featuring 29 UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Prior to the cruise, guests may check into the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables for a one-night, pre-cruise hotel stay and gala dinner. The cruise will begin in the Caribbean and head west through the Panama Canal.
An Adventure Ashore program provides for small guided groups to take three days ashore in Bali to visit Angkor Wat in Cambodia, and in Cochin, India, to visit the Taj Mahal. There will also be a one-night overland program in Myanmar for the temples of Bagan.
Those booked on the full voyage will receive free cultural experiences in Hawaii, Dubai and Monte Carlo.
Bookings open July 15. Rates for guests who book by Oct. 1, 2015 start at $54,999 per person.
