Caribbean villas: From luxury lodges to yoga retreats
Paradise Beach, St Kitts Nevis
This sophisticated new resort, which opened in June on the island of Nevis, has seven beachfront villas, all with views across the Caribbean towards St Kitts and Mount Nevis. The secluded properties each come with individual pebble-lined plunge pools, al fresco marble showers, exposed beams, thatched roofs, and sliding glass doors which open out on to shaded cabanas. The resort has a bar, complete with chaises longues and hammocks for guests to recline in before enjoying spa treatments in their own villa, or watersports on the beachfront.

Ani Villas, Anguilla
For serious, unadulterated luxury, take a trip to this two-villa estate in Little Bay, on the west coast of Anguilla. The three-storey villas sleep eight and 12 people respectively, and both come with whitewashed walls, marble bathrooms, infinity pools and roof terraces. With floor-to-ceiling windows, the bedrooms are flooded with light and there are also hot tubs perched on the cliff-edge.

Laluna Villas, Grenada
Yoga retreat-cum-beach escape, Laluna Villas is a great spot to relax and unwind. The resort is made up of two stylish private villas, each one sleeping up to 10 people, with open-plan living space decorated in nautical blues and whites. The villas also come with private infinity pools, complete with chaises longues and views of the Caribbean. The main Laluna resort is a short walk away and includes a spa, gym, and garden.

The Wings, St Barts
The haunt of A-listers and the incredibly rich, St Barts has long been famed for its celebrity clientele. The four-bedroom Wings villa is located in the hills above St Jean Bay. It’s made up of two whitewashed buildings and has an infinity pool and a raised patio, from which guests can gaze down at the coastline. There are vast windows for making the most of the view, plus a terrace, kitchen, and media room with television and sound system.

Round Hill Villas, Jamaica
With colonial-inspired décor and private swimming pools surrounded by lush greenery, the Round Hill villas were originally built as cottages for the rich and famous in the 1950s. The dark wood floors contrast with the white, wood-beamed ceilings and pale full length shutters, which open on to pretty gardens, covered terraces and turquoise pools with views over Montego Bay.
