The Festive Season is a Playground for HHI

The heritage of Kolkata is one that precedes all feasible thoughts pertaining to the time when the horizon of the city was lined with age-old building in addition to the newly created Howrah Bridge. Today, the horizon witnesses the veteran Howrah Bridge busy in ferrying people and cars across the Ganges. The horizon, however, is lined now with a large number of taverns, shopping malls – the primary ones among them undoubtedly belonging to the hotels in Kolkata. Among them, the hotel managed by the HHI group deserves special mention.

The HHI, Kolkata is sitting at a convenient location in one of the prime areas of the city and overlooks a hub of offices that people have christened as the Nizam Palace. Note, it is important to point out here that the name is purely coincidental with the building bearing no relation with the Nizams of Hyderabad.

Technically, this hotel has been classified as a five-star hotel and it contains a succinct bouqet of features that are more than what a typical customer would expect. This place is the lair of entertainment owing to the presence of Kolkata’s bustling nightclub, the Underground.

This nightclub remains opens throughout the night and, therefore, maintains all possible avenues of having a good time, as far as people are concerned. The hotel management has incorporated the organization of music festivals in its surroundings. As a result, people at the HHI have always been given the wealth of good music, dance, food, and festivities. What more, with the festive season in view, it is not surprising that the Underground will be organizing themed parties.

Then there is the Kalash, which is a multi-cuisine restaurant of the HHI. This place provides three primary cuisines hailing from the north, south and middle region of India in addition to the Bengali cuisine. In a snapshot, the Kalash provides the Bengali, Mughlai, Hyderabadi and the Lucknowi cuisines.

There is also the Oriental Express which is another restaurant at the HHI and known as the harbinger of traditional treats of diverse oriental cuisines. Again, in a snapshot, the Oriental Express provides the Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Burmese and Korean cuisines.

In addition to the Underground, the Kalash and the Oriental Express, HHI also contains a lounge-bar called VIRGOSE and a coffee shop called MYTHH (Note: The spelling here has been for pure advertising reasons only).

As the staffs themselves say, life at HHI is a mixed bag of learning and delights with every circumstance providing the chance for learning something new. This goes well with the fact that the education-level of the staff is already very high. Therefore, the additional learning adds to their respective skillsets – a noteworthy feature because these skills work together to provide HHI with its revolutionary features.

The performance of the HHI has taken it to a level that surpasses the culinary and hospitality expertise of the entire hotels in Kolkata.
