Vacations By Rail debuts Cuba rail-cruise
North American rail packager Vacations By Rail has introduced its first rail-cruise cultural exchange tour to Cuba with departures starting Feb. 9.
The 12-day Cuba by Rail Cruise itinerary begins with overnight rail travel aboard Amtrak’s Silver Meteor from New York to Miami. In Miami, guests will then board Haimark’s 200-passenger St. Laurent for a 10-day cruise to and around Cuba.
Ports of call include Havana, Maria La Gorda, Cienfuegos, Trinidad, Santiago de Cuba, Baracoa, Alejandro de Humboldt National Park and Holguin.
“As travel regulations to Cuba continue to relax, we are seeing a huge pent-up demand by our customers for the Cuban experience, and we’re pleased we can now offer them the opportunity to visit through our newest rail-cruise product,” said Todd Powell, CEO and co-founder of Vacations By Rail.
The Cuba by Rail Cruise program starts at $5,353 per person and includes all meals onboard the train and ship, overnight hotel accommodations in Miami, train accommodations for one night, a nine-night cruise aboard the St. Laurent and select tours, activities and entertainment.
