5 Stunning Honeymoon Suites That Will Make You Rethink Your Post-Wedding Travels
You can jet off to one of the most stunning locations in the world for your honeymoon, but if you aren’t as head-over-heels for your honeymoon suite as you are with your new spouse, something is terribly amiss. Splurging on a grand honeymoon suite—even for a couple of nights—is a worthy expense. Traveling to an exotic locale may ensure that you have plenty of activities to keep you occupied outside of the resort, but, particularly for honeymooners, sometimes it’s all about hiding away, emerging from the bed only to throw open the windows and retrieve room service.
The honeymoon suite may once have been associated with heart-shaped bathtubs, giant beds, and free, cheap champagne, but those days are gone. Now hotels are touting their suites as the ultimate post-wedding havens, no cheesy amenities in sight. Here, five spectacular suites around the world to book for your honeymoon adventure.

The Cuixmala Suite at Casa Cuixmala
This resort, opened in 2014, is something out of a dream. The 25,000-acre estate is located on Mexico’s Pacific Coast near Puerto Vallarta and is home to a wildlife preserve for jaguars and other exotic animals. The hotel’s interiors have a bohemian vibe, but the architecture is grand, and there are only 13 rooms, suites, and villas on the property. The Cuixmala Suite in the main building includes a private Jacuzzi; a living room with high, curved ceilings; and an ocean-view bathroom. The Private Villas—one of which has a dome modeled after the Hagia Sophia—must be seen to be believed.

The Caldera Suites at Iconic Santorini
The island of Santorini in Greece is a popular honeymoon destination, and the Iconic hotel is bringing a more modern look and feel to this romantic spot. The Caldera Suites each come with private outdoor pools and lounge areas overlooking the Aegean Sea, and the well-appointed interiors offer large, cozy beds in grotto-like rooms and baths stocked with Aesop products.

Ocean View Suite at Malliouhana
This charming new Auberge resort is one of the more stylish on Anguilla, with a look that is laid-back but incredibly chic. Malliouhana has several private beaches and a range of activities for couples, including water sports, tennis, and golf. The ocean-view suites are airy and bright with patios that feel completely secluded among the palms.

Cap Classique Suites at Mont Rochelle
Mont Rochelle is a vineyard owned and operated by Richard Branson in Franschhoek, South Africa, just an hour outside of Cape Town. It is quaint and intimate, with only 22 rooms and suites that each feel like their own residences. The Cap Classique Suites offer a private terrace with a pool and a separate lounge area inside, as well as sweeping views of the lush property. Honeymooners who feel compelled to emerge from their suites can partake in wine tastings, picnics, luxurious spa treatments, hiking, and horseback riding.

The Royal and Palace Suites at Suján
If you’re looking to feel like a real king and queen on your honeymoon, this is the hotel and suite to book in Jaipur, India. The Suján was, in fact, home to British, and later Indian, royalty and has remained outfitted as such—bold patterns, gilded edges, striking hues, and ornate decor dominate this 30-room hotel. The Royal and Palace Suites also live up to their names, bedecked with crystal chandeliers and sumptuous fabrics. Make this the first stop on a honeymoon adventure through India, or just stay here for the entire trip.
