Disney Announces 2017 Cruise Itineraries With New Ports of Call

Disney Cruise Line has announced next year’s fall cruise itineraries, a lineup that includes popular ports like Cabo San Lucas, as well as new destinations in the Northeast and Canada.

“Today we announced that in the fall of 2017, Disney cruisers will once again be able to sail from New York, California and Texas,” read the announcement on Disney’s website. “These special seasons—homeporting from New York City, San Diego and Galveston—are in addition to cruises from Florida (Port Canaveral and Miami).”

Highlights include Disney Magic setting sail from New York City and heading up the coast of Canada with Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, as a new port of call. The seven-night journey will in fact be their “longest-ever voyage to the Atlantic Canada coast.”

Disney is also introducing Bar Harbor, Maine, as another new port of call and will be part of a five-night sailing that will also stop at Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada.

The classic seven- and eight-night Bahamas sailing out of NYC will include a visit to Castaway Cay and to Port Canaveral, Florida, where each guest will receive a one-day Walt Disney World Park Hopper ticket and round-trip transportation to Walt Disney World Resort.

Sailings from San Diego to Baja and the Mexican Riviera are all about adventure as guests can enjoy snorkeling, cliff diving and zip lining in Cabo San Lucas and Ensenada. And following the season in San Diego, Disney Wonder will sail out of Galveston, Texas on seven-night cruises to the Caribbean and the Bahamas. Relaxing stops include Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Jamaica. All of the Texas itineraries include a stop at Castaway Cay, Key West and Nassau.
