Travel to Aruba, tropical destination
Aruba is the perfect destination if you are looking for a Caribbean paradise to relax and forget about life’s troubles. Here are some tips before you book your next flight.
Aruba has three things you will love.
The beaches: Aruba has some of the most beautiful beaches on the planet. The beaches are completely serene. The oceans are a alluring turquoise blue. The water is calm and peaceful. It’s not rough like it is here in New England. You could easily stay in the water for hours and not have a care in the world. However, remember to put on sunblock! The sun is powerful in Aruba.
The weather: It’s almost always sunny. There is also almost always a breeze, which is welcome since it’s so hot in Aruba. It feels like a fan is always on you. You also don’t have to worry about hurricanes too much. The Aruba hurricane season is one of the mildest in the Caribbean because the island lies on the southern edge of the hurricane belt.
American friendly: It can be intimidating to go to another country and worry about the language barrier. However, that shouldn’t be a concern for native English speakers in terms of Aruba. Everyone speaks English since tourism is a vital to the local economy. Locals are also very friendly. It’s called one happy island for a reason.
However, there are two things you will hate.
It’s expensive: Paradise doesn’t come cheap. The island is a destination and operators take advantage of its popularity. Restaurants and adventures are very expensive. Stay at an all-inclusive resort so you can save money on meals if you can. If not, get a resort where you have a kitchen in the room and go to the grocery store. This way you can make some meals
Touristy: If you are looking to immerse yourself in completely different culture, Aruba might not be the place for you. Since it is tourist-centric, the culture is very similar to the United States. It’s not impossible to find a new cultural experience, but it is difficult.
Places you should visit
Eagle Beach: This beach has been voted one of the best beaches in the world. Eagle Beach is famous for its pristine white sands, Fofoti trees, nesting sea turtles and extreme water sports. It is also the widest beach on the island.
Madame Janette: If you are looking for world-class dining, look no further than Madame Janette. The cooks infuse a Caribbean touch to every item on the menu. The seating is outside underneath trees and twinkling lights. This would be a great stop for a couple on their honeymoon. Madame Janette is the proud recipient of the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence in 2008 and was named Best Restaurant of the Caribbean in 2005.
Natural Pool: Every resort has a pool but there is something extra special about a pool nature made. It’s in Aruba’s most tough terrain, which in itself is an experience to get to. However, once you are there, you will have discovered something truly heavenly.
