Learn to surf on a Royal Caribbean ship says 11-times champion Ben Skinner

The world’s third best longboard surfer says learning to master one of the fleet’s onboard FlowRiders will give you a head start if you want to start real surfing and, who knows, you might even end up heading to the next Olympics – like Ben is hoping to do.

The sport has now been officially adopted by the International Olympic Committee and at a recent masterclass onboard Navigator of the Seas, which will be based in Southampton again next year, Ben taught a lucky few the basics.

“I’ve been surfing since I was three and competing since I was eight years old,” says the 31-year-old, who moved to Cornwall from Jersey 21 years ago, “but I’ve used FlowRiders to practice on and at publicity events and they’re great fun.”
