Norwegian Air Flight Deal: French Caribbean Islands for Under …

Norwegian Air, the Scandinavian low-cost airline with goals of world domination, just announced their winter airfare deal, and the deals are nearly too good to be believed. The airline has invested heavily in the French Caribbean islands of Martinique and Guadeloupe, which until now were tough for American travelers to access—now, with flights from Boston, New York, Baltimore, and Fort Lauderdale to the two islands as low as $49 each way, it’s going to be hard to say no. The two islands are both technically part of France, meaning you can enjoy pains au chocolat on the beach while spending those euros you have left over from your last vacation. Because the French Caribbean routes are seasonal, you’ll need to go before flights stop in April.

If you’re more interested in exploring a European capital than lounging on the sand, Norwegian has you covered in that department too. There are flights as low as $139 each way to the Scandi capitals of Oslo, Stockholm, and Copenhagen, plus deals starting from $175 each way for flights from the U.S. to Paris.

Since Norwegian is a low-cost carrier, there are a few things you’ll need to keep in mind when you book: the fare is a base rate, and amenities like meals and checked bags cost extra. Conde Nast Traveler editors are split about whether inexpensive long-haul flights are worth it, but for savvy travelers who plan ahead, like to bring their own snacks, and know to pre-load their iPads and Kindles before flying, it’s nearly impossible to say no to such great flight deals, especially if it brings you closer to crossing one more item off of your travel bucket list. Norwegian also operates its flights on Dreamliner planes, which have been shown to help reduce jet lag and in-flight dehydration. Convinced? Check out Norwegian Air’s New Year’s deals page, select your closest airport, and get started.
