Crystal takes delivery of fifth river cruise ship: Travel Weekly

Crystal River Cruises’ fifth river cruise ship, the Crystal
Ravel, was handed over to the company in Wismar, Germany, on April 12.

Crystal president and CEO Tom Wolber was on hand for the
ceremony, which took place at the Werften shipyard, where the Ravel’s three
predecessors were built.

The Ravel was delivered one month after the delivery of the
Crystal Debussy. The Debussy embarked on its maiden voyage earlier this month
out of Amsterdam. The Ravel will embark on its maiden voyage on May 10, sailing from Basel, Switzerland, to Vienna. It will sail the Rhine,
Danube, Main and Moselle rivers.

The Ravel is the last of Crystal’s planned river cruise
ships. It follows the company’s three other newbuilds: the Bach, Debussy and
Mahler. Its first vessel, the Crystal Mozart, is a renovated ship that kicked
off Crystal’s entry into the river cruise market in 2016.

Like its sister ships, the 106-passenger Ravel features
suites with king-sized beds, balcony windows, walk-in closets and a dual vanity
bathroom in most rooms. All suites are above the water line.

There are three dining venues, including the fine-dining
Waterside Restaurant, the casual Bistro cafe and the Vintage Room, which can be
rented out for private wine-pairing dinners.
