Spend 8 Months at Sea Onboard the Record-breaking World’s Longest Cruise

If seven days on a cruise doesn’t feel like enough time to get your sea legs, Viking Cruises is now offering a 245-day Ultimate World Cruise.

The eight-month cruise will visit six continents, 59 countries and 113 ports, starting at $92,990. Fares go up to $269,990 for the Owner’s Suite. The itinerary will set a record as the world’s longest continuous cruise when it takes off from London on August 31, 2019.

The cruise starts in England, crosses the Atlantic to Canada, down the eastern coast of the United States, through the Caribbean, down the Amazon through Brazil, then around South America, up through the west coast of Central America, through the South Pacific, around New Zealand and Australia, up Eastern Asia, through the Middle East, across the Mediterranean and back up to England.

Passengers who don’t wish to commit a full eight months at sea can sign up for half segments. The first leg, Viking World Treasures, lasts 127 days from London to Los Angeles (from $47,995 per person). The second is Viking World Wonders, a 119-day journey from Los Angeles to London (from $45,995 per person).

The cruise will be aboard the Viking Sun, capable of carrying up to 930 passengers. The nine-deck ship has the comforts of land including restaurants, bars, wi-fi, a fitness center, spa, cinema and pool.

The price includes free business class air travel to and from London at the start and end of the cruise. Guests who book before the end of the year will also receive a $4,000 excursions credit for optional trips on land, and a $2,000 shipboard credit which can be used on spa services and shops on the boat.
