Cheers! St Lucia named World’s Leading Honeymoon Destination for 2020

Saint Lucia has once again captured the title of the World’s Leading Honeymoon Destination for 2020 according to the World Travel Awards.

Prime Minister Allen Chastanet took to his social media platforms this morning to announce the good news.

“Some great news to start off the week. Saint Lucia has officially been named by World Travel Awards as the World’s Leading Honeymoon Destination for 2020, a record 12th time and the 3rd consecutive time since 2018!” he wrote.

Most persons responded to the news with congratulatory messages.

One person wrote, “My beautiful homeland. Fantastic and welcomed news!”

While another questioned how Saint Lucia could acquire such an award with most hotels out of operation for the most part of the year.

“Although the hotels were closed most of the year 2020, but yeah hip hip hooray. Let’s keep it up Santa Lucia!!!!!!”

Over the years the island has copped the titles of World’s Leading Honeymoon Destination and Caribbean’s Leading Honeymoon Destination multiple times as well as Caribbean’s Leading Travel Personality in 2009.
