Diana Nyad to join Olivia Travel cruise in November

SAN FRANCISCO — Diana Nyad, world record long-distance swimmer, will join Olivia Travel on its all-inclusive trip to the Club Med Resort in Ixtapa, Mexico from Nov. 2-9.

On Sept. 2, Nyad achieved her lifelong dream of swimming 103 miles across the Florida Straits from Havana, Cuba to Key West, Fla. She made history as the first long-distance swimmer to do so without using a shark cage, a wetsuit or flippers.

Nyad will be onboard to enjoy the relaxing and adventurous activities, as well as host a speaking engagement where she will talk about her record-breaking Cuba-to-Florida swim and share the challenges and determination she experienced before, during and following her victory.
