Grandmother accidentally travels to the Caribbean instead of Spain after …
Lamenda Kingdon, 62, from Plymouth, wanted to see the Alhambra Palace in the Spanish region of Granada after being diagnosed with breast cancer.
However she was put on a flight to the Caribbean island Grenada by travel rewards company Avios, a mistake she only realised once she was in the air.
The 62-year-old was enjoying a gin and tonic at 30,000ft when she remarked to a fellow passenger she was looking forward to visiting the historic Spanish city.
However the passenger replied: “Not on this plane, you won’t.”
