11 honeymoon ideas for adventurous couples
Think going on a safari is just for hunters? Not anymore. For many newlyweds, honeymoons aren’t just for lounging on the beach, it’s a chance to do something a little out of the ordinary. Now many travel resorts are capitalizing on that desire by catering to couples looking for heart-pumping activities.
Proud African Safaris, a company in Tanzania that specializes in luxury travel experiences, recently announced their foray into honeymoon packages. The company is offering customizable vacations for couples that include going on a game drive through the Serengetti Plains while getting educated on the abundant wildlife by naturalists. Plus, couples can take a hot air balloon over the gorgeous Tanzanian landscape, and what’s more romantic than that?
Proud African Safaris sin’t the only company advertising to honeymooners. A little north of Tanzania, Extraordinary Journeys is offering private helicopter rides over Northern Kenya as part of their vacation package. Couples also receive lodging at a luxurious resort plus a camelback safari ride.
A survey done by YourTango and Ford shows couples agree that taking a trip together helps to strengthen their relationship. And now plenty of organizations are helping newlyweds plan trips that involve more than strolling through a scenic city. It seems that you can do anything from sightseeing in Alaska to volunteering in Iceland for yoiur honeymoon. Lounging by a beach is nice, but high adrenaline activities are a surefire aphrodisiac so consider jumping outside the box for an outdoor thrill.
