Christine Duffy, President and CEO, Cruise Lines International Association
Christine Duffy is President and Chief Executive Officer of the Cruise Lines International Association, the trade association representing the $32 billion global cruise industry.
Over her career, Christine has been recognized for her industry and community leadership and in February 2011 Christine joined CLIA after spending ten years at Maritz Travel Company where she served six years as President and CEO.
While at Maritz, she managed a business with more than $600 million in revenue and worked with a variety of Fortune 500 corporations on their corporate meetings, events and incentive travel programs.
In 2012, under Christine’s leadership, CLIA expanded its presence across the globe, bringing together 12 independent cruise associations under the CLIA brand.
Today, CLIA has representation in North and South America, Europe, Asia and Australasia.
CLIA represents the interests of 64 cruise lines, 50,000 individual travel agents associated with more than 13,500 global travel agency members, and 250 industry partners, including port authorities, destinations and various maritime and travel industry suppliers.
Its mission is to promote the unique benefits of cruising and to participate proactively in the regulatory and policy development process.
CLIA represents the interests of its members at the International Maritime Organization based in London and before regulatory and legislative policy makers around the world.
