Military Discounts at Myrtle Beach

Have you ever wanted to visit the Myrtle Beach area but didn’t know where to start, what to do, or who offered military discounts? After a recent visit to the area we’ve come up with a host of places to visit that offer military discounts.

Big Laughs Theatre: This “Wild 4 Hypnosis Comedy” show has a G, PG and R rated showing. It’s described as a “high energy, rock and roll” comedy show. Active duty military members receive a 20 percent discount. For more information call (843) 750-0514 or go to www.big-laughs.com.

The Carolina Opry: This comedy, song and dance show is considered one of the best on the Grand Strand. The 2-hour performance includes pop, modern and the classics, and has been running for 28-years. Marshwalk Water Sports: Paddle the creek in a kayak, rent a jet ski, go on a dolphin tour, or charter a fishing trip. NASCAR SpeedPark: There are activities for the entire family with seven racing tracks, including Go-kart tracks and SpeadDome arcade which has more than 50 games. There’s also a rock climbing wall, kiddies ride, early bird specials, an 18-hole mini golf course and more. The military rate is $25 each for an unlimited ride wristband. ID is required. Ripley’s Aquarium: There are mirror mazes, laser lights, haunted adventures, a moving theatre, and live mermaid shows for kids. Grande Shores: Offers indoor and outdoor pools, 4 hot tubs, onsite restaurant and off season rates. Located in the heart of Myrtle Beach, it offers 20 percent military discount on the price of condos for active duty, reserves and retired personnel. Prince Resort: Accommodations overlook the oceanfront. There are weekly rates and packages, romantic getaways, honeymoon packages, rooftop pools, kiddie waterfall pools and more. 20 percent discount for active-duty, reserves and retired personnel. Patricia Grand Resort: As a member of the Oceana Resorts, this hotel is family and pet-friendly (there is also an offsite dog-grooming service). There are whirlpools, a shopping coupon booklet, free miniature golf (offsite), free admission to Wild Water and Wheels and a kids’ camps. Also, there are discounts at The Awakening Spa. Rooms have full kitchens, an onsite restaurant and coffee bar. Note: This is an older-styled hotel, though the café was recently renovated. There are AARP, AAA Senior discounts and 15 percent off rates for military personnel and spouses.
