Virgin Holidays is looking to increase its Caribbean business through more hotels and destinations.

The tour operator attended the Caribbean Travel Marketplace earlier this month to meet with hoteliers and tourism boards with the aim to increase its market share of UK holidays taken to the region.

More than 700 representatives from hotels and tourism boards were present at the annual show, which took place in Jamaica’s Montego Bay.

“We [took] a large team of product managers to meet with as many hotels as possible as Virgin Holidays is committed to expanding our share of the market and increasing the number of holiday-takers coming to the Caribbean,” said Amanda Wills, managing director for Virgin Holidays. “We want to be able to sell more hotels in more Caribbean countries and Marketplace affords us the opportunity to develop the packages with the hotels and destinations.”
